  • Transfer to your hotel
  • Overnight in Nairobi

You will be welcomed off your flight at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your Nairobi hotel for your overnight stay before getting out and about on your safari excursions. The city also offers a wide range of restaurants and craft shops to explore.

Lunch and dinner at own arrangements.

Nairobi National Park

Bordering the capital city of Nairobi, in beautiful Kenya, the Nairobi National Park is one of Africa’s smallest parks and one of the only parks on earth to be in such close proximity to a city centre. It boasts a large and varied wildlife population, amid wide open grass plains against a backdrop of city scrapers. The park is home to one of Kenya’s most successful rhinoceros sanctuaries with the world’s highest concentration of black rhinoceros. Its wetland areas are abundant with birdlife boasting over 400 bird species. Visitors can enjoy the many facilities the park has to offer such as scenic picnic sites, well-positioned campsites, and hiking trails. Commonly spotted species include lion, hyena, warthog, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, gazelle, buffalo, and sometimes if you’re lucky, leopard and cheetah.

Giraffe Centre

The African Fund for Endangered Wildlife Kenya (A.F.E.W. Kenya) also known as the Giraffe Centre is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization, which was founded by Betty and Jock Leslie-Melville in 1979. This was in a bid to save the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, which had lost its natural habitat in Western Kenya to agriculture and there were only 130 left in the wild. Funds were raised and 4 herds of the Rothschild giraffes were moved to 4 parks namely Lake Nakuru National Park, Mwea Game Reserve, Ruma National Park and Nasalot Game Reserve.

DAY 2-5: Masai Mara National Reserve

The Masai Mara National Reserve, covering over 1,500 square kilometers in southwestern Kenya, is a top wildlife destination known for its incredible diversity. It hosts elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and hippos along the Mara River, along with over 450 bird species. The reserve’s highlight is the annual Great Migration, where approximately 1.7 million wildebeest journey from Tanzania’s Serengeti to the Masai Mara’s grasslands, attracting predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs in their pursuit.
